Palmerston North Dance Association Annual Dance Festival
19 September 2025 to 25 September 2025
The PNDA Dance Festival presents an array of both classical and modern dance genres, including ballet, barefoot, national character, demi-character, neoclassical, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap, and musical theatre. The competition attracts competitors from around the North Island reaching to the South Island. The competition includes solo, group and championship events, with age-based genre classes for participants under 6 to 16 and above.
This event is suitable for family holiday entertainment.
It runs from 6pm, Friday 19 September to Thursday 25 September. There will be three sessions each day: at 8:30 am, 1:00 pm, and concluding with an evening session at 6:00 pm.
Entry: $5 per adult; free for children and competitors. There are day and festival passes available.
The festival pass includes 19 competition sessions across 6 days and one evening.
Note: The gala event, part of the competition, is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Deirdre Tarrant our Patron will be in attendance
