Programme: Mozart: (Arr. Lamb/Rummel) Duo in G Major, K. 423 Vanhal: Sonata No. 2 in C Major, op 10, no 2 Pleyel: Trio in G Major, op 73, no. 1 Leonie Holmes: New Work Mozart: (Arr. Hummel) Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466 Eric Lamb (flute) Simone Roggen (violin) Martin Rummel (cello) James Tibbles (harpsichord/fortepiano) Ensemble Paladino, known for innovative repertoire choices, present music by Vanhal and Pleyel - illustrious contemporaries of Haydn and Mozart, who admired their work. The programme includes Hummel\'s arrangement of the D Minor Piano Concerto (K. 466) by his teacher, Mozart. A new composition by Leonie Holmes completed their programme. Simone Roggen, James Tibbles and Martin Rummel are first-class performers familiar to New Zealand audiences; Eric Lamb, well established as a flute soloist abroad, is now making regular visits to New Zealand to perform and teach.
