THEATRE TECHNICIAN The Regent on Broadway is one of New Zealand’s premier performing arts venues and has an opening for a theatre technician. This is an opportunity for an individual with the necessary skills to join the team at one of New Zealand’s top theatres. The successful applicant will be required to support the venue with the professional presentation of all productions and events held and to maintain the high standard of event presentation for which the Regent on Broadway is recognised and for which our clients expect. The Theatre Technician will need to possess the following attributes: • Some knowledge in the Safe Working Practices in the New Zealand Theatre and Entertainment Industry. • Reasonable skill in stage mechanics and rigging. • Working knowledge in the art of stage lighting and its operation. • Working knowledge in the art of audio design and operation. • Good communication skills with the ability to support the excellent working relationships we have with our diverse range of clients and hires. • Is well presented and has a strong work ethic with the ability to commit to periods of irregular and extended hours of work. It would be expected the successful candidate is reasonably familiar with computer systems with the ability to provide reports and documents relative to the role. The successful applicant will join a small but vibrant team who enjoy working in this exciting industry. Remuneration will be decided upon skill and experience.
