Chamber Music New Zealand In 2015 Suyeon Kang became the first Australian to win the Michael Hill International Violin Competition; also taking home the Audience Prize. Her Kaleidoscopes tour interweaves some of the greatest violin and piano sonatas with Stravinsky’s witty offerings, and a delightful work for solo violin by New Zealand composer Kenneth Young. Kang is partnered by distinguished New Zealand pianist Stephen De Pledge, described by London’s Independent on Sunday as having “stunning spring-loaded virtuosity.”
