\"KODAMA\" means spirit of the Japanese drum and its sound. Feel the soul of the sound, the drum and Japan. The Japanese Drum Team \"KODAMA\" is from the International Pacific College, a tertiary institution in Palmerston North. The team was founded over 20 years ago by a professional Japanese drummer. Over the years, captains and members have put themselves into the songs handed down to them from member to member. Last year, they have given over 30 performances all around New Zealand. 80 captivating minutes, spectacular samurai action, an enchanting Japanese Koto performance and 9 songs showcasing the skill and precision of Japanese drumming!
