PNDA - Dance Competitions

The PNDA Dance competition festival covers both classical and modern dance genres, including ballet, barefoot, national character, demi character, neoclassical, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap and musical theatre. Competitors are both local and from the North Island, reaching to the South Island. The class range for competitors is 6 years and under to 16years and over. The competition covers both solo and group items. It is suitable for family entertainment. Commencing on the evening of Friday the 30th of September at 6pm and finishing on the evening of Thursday 7 October. The festival covers 19 sessions of competition over 6 days and evening. The Gala event features the ballet championship classes, held within the competition, commencing on Monday afternoon, and continuing into the evening. Special guest artists are included in the Gala evening programme. Palmerston North Dance association Patron Sir Jon Trimmer will be in attendance for the evening performances.
