PNDA Dance Competition Festival

The PNDA Dance festival features both classical and modern dance genres, including ballet, barefoot, national character, demi character, neoclassical, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre. Competitors are both local and from around the North Island, reaching to the South Island. The class range for Competitors is 6 years - to 16yrs years and over. The competition covers both solo and group items, it is suitable for family holiday entertainment. Commencing on Friday evening 27th of September at 6pm, finishing on the evening of Thursday 3 October. Entry fees are $5 per adult, children and competitors have free admission. There are Day and Festival passes available. The festival pass covers 19 sessions of competition over the 6 days and evening. The gala event is held within the competition, commencing on Wednesday afternoon and continuing into the evening. This features the ballet championship classes and is a stunning event. Special guest artists are featured in the evening programmed. We will welcome Deirdre Tarrant our new Patron and will give a final tribute to Sir Jon Trimmer our longstanding Patron who died October 2023
