Shake off the Winter blues with this sparkling English-language production of Lehár\'s famous romantic comic opera, performing in August-September fully staged with great operatic lead singers in a cast of 35 with 27 piece orchestra; live music at its traditional best! A heart-warming play upon the wiles and foibles of would-be lovers, crossed with political intrigue in a Parisian setting. This 2016 WGSLO tour maintains the same well-established production qualities and performance resources as its recent acclaimed Mikado (2014) and Gondoliers (2015) tours. Direction is by Gillian Jerome, Music Direction by Hugh McMillan, accompaniment by players from Orchestra Wellington.
